"The Walker Families in Chile" tells the story of each and every one of the Walker families resident in Chile, identifies its origins and where it exists, establishing the family relationship between them, tells the family history and his life in Chile, displays your images and allows young Walker know who were his grandparents.

Our inquiry establishes that in 1820 and Walker had two families resident in Santiago:
1 .- Mr. and Mrs. Walker, who owned a hotel in downtown Santiago.
2 .- The parents of the first Walker was born in Chile, dedicated to trade goods from England.
During the nineteenth century immigrants arrive in another 20 who are named Walker family descendants to this day.
There are family groups, some even up to four generations born in Chile, of those not yet managed to establish its origin or its relation to other familys Walker. Also we can report that a significant number of Chileans Walker are wrong about its origins, they came from and who their grandparents.
From 1820 to July 2010, in 190 years of history, we recorded more than 3,500 Chileans Walker ...

Hasta el momento tenemos identificados el arribo 26 inmigrantes de apellido Walker que llegaron durante el siglo XIX a partir del año 1820, con familia y descendencia en Chile. Sus orígenes fueron diversos: Inglaterra, Irlanda, Escocia, Gibraltar, Estados Unidos, Francia y Alemania.
"The Walker families in Chile", muestra la historia de todas y cada una de las familias Walker avecindadas en Chile, identifica sus orígenes y cuando existe, establece la relación familiar entre unos y otros, relata la historia familiar y su vida en Chile, muestra sus imagenes y permite a los Walker jóvenes conocer quienes fueron sus abuelos.
Para cumplir este objetivo se necesita el trabajo metódico y cuidadoso realizado durante estos últimos siete años y de la colaboración de todos quienes que puedan colaborar con informacion sobre historias, currículums, documentos y fotografías...
Detalles como "el nombre de una tía" que nos visitaba cuando niños o el nombre de "un desconocido personaje" anotado en una antigua carta o al reverso de una fotografia, nos permitieron entroncar y establecer la relacion entre importantes grupos familiares que se encontraban dispersos.

Nuestra investigacion permite establecer que en el año 1820 ya habian dos familias Walker avecindadas en Santiago:
1.- El señor y señora Walker que propietarios de un hotel en el centro de Santiago.
2.- Los padres del primer Walker nacido en Chile, dedicados al comercio con productos desde Inglaterra.
En el transcurso del del siglo XIX arriban otros 20 inmigrantes de apellido Walker quienes forman familia con descendencia hasta estos dias.
Existen grupos familiares, algunos incluso hasta con cuatro generaciones nacidas en Chile, de quienes aun no logramos establecer su origen o su relacion con otras familas Walker. Así mismo podemos informar que una cantidad importante de Walker chilenos estan errados respecto a sus orígenes, de donde provenían y de quienes son sus abuelos.
Desde 1820 al mes de Julio del año 2010, en 190 años de historia, registramos mas de 3.500 Walker chilenos...
